Jerica Mitchell

Hello, my name is Jerica Mitchell. I am originally from Texas. I have worked as an IT contractor for the past 7 years. Many of my duties required me to provide IT technical problem resolutions to end-users in Houston, Texas and remotely. Most recently, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in computer science and many of my courses focused on cybersecurity and infrastructure. Some of my greatest strengths are my analytical and creative thinking skills and adaptability. My goal for my current job search is to secure a position as a software developer. I’m looking for a great tech company where I can help while advancing my own career. It’s really important that I make an impact and effect positive change. As I become more knowledgeable about my field, I recognize that, like myself, many minorities were not exposed to STEM careers. Finally, I am passionate about helping others, so I want to use my platform to create opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
